Locinity was born from the desire to put the power of "what is happening" into the hands of the people who are 'experiencing' what is going on. Your iPhone becomes your reporter, and then other individuals, or subscribers, can view the happenings that everyone has experienced / posted within a defined radius from their own location. Born out of the desire for a grass-roots news reporting tool, Locinity became much more than that. You can subscribe to your favorite reporter, or poster, to easily see all of the post that are available to everyone. You can also request to be given Subscriber+ status, and if approved by the poster, you will be allowed to view special posts that is only available to individuals with Subscriber+ status. Switch over from post view to map view, and change the filter to show a large radius and only post with a high number of 'thumbs ups', and you'll see the popular post from around your area. Check out those colored pins! Post aging. Weather the pin is Red Hot, or a Cool Blue... the pins will graphically tell you how old the post is. Report and view post from your iPhone device, or even find your computer and view from your favorite browser. You can comment on post and read what others are saying. Locinity seeks to answer the question, what is going on where you are today? So, how will you use Locinity?
